An application for Environmental Authorisation through a Full Scoping & Environmental Impact Reporting (S&EIR) process for the proposed ABO Duiker Wind Energy Facility 1 and Associated Infrastructure will be submitted to the National Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment (DFFE) as the competent authority for decision making.
It is the intention of the proponent, ABO Duiker Wind Energy Facility 1 (Pty) Ltd, to develop a Wind Energy Facility of up to 300MWac and associated infrastructure on the below mentioned properties.
The proposed development site is located approximately 10km south of Vredendal and is accessible via the R363 between Vredendal and Klawer (Matzikama Local Municipality, West Coast District, Western Cape Province).
The proposed facility is situated on Portion 1 of Farm Kapel 491, Remainder of Farm Versig 452, Portion 5 of the Farm Naauwkoes 300, Remainder of Portion 82 of Farm Aan de Olifants Rivier 305, The Remainder of Portion 2 (Bellevue) of the Farm Gideonsoord 303, The Remainder of Portion 3 (Buitebos) of the Farm Gideonsoord 303, Portion 1 of the farm Richtain 391, Portion 1 of the Farm Paleis 395, Portion 5 of the Farm Van Der Stel 389, Portion 6 of the Farm Van Der Stel 389, Portion 11 of the Farm Van Der Stel 389, Remainder of Portion 59 (portion of portion 18) of the Farm Aan de Olifants-rivier 305, The Remainder of Portion 1 (Ouplaas) of the Farm Gideonsoord 303, Portion 1 of the Farm Van Der Stel 389, The Farm Rietrylaagte B 509, The Farm Rietrytlaagte A 508.
